In addition to data feeds and alerts, which are weekly actionable data, the PatentIndex also makes available various reports that are more in-depth and trend oriented to help inform your longer-term decision-making and strategic planning.

The quarterly and monthly reports are available on a subscription basis.
The on-demand analysis is fee-based.

Quarterly Reports:

The "Up and Coming" Report illuminates markets that are making bold moves in particular technologies as measured by a statistically valid uptick in patents in individual art classes. This report is available every Mar, June, Sep and Dec.

The "IP Acceleration" Report looks at individual art classes, unchained from geography, that are showing appreciable acceleration in patent activity over a trailing three month period. This report is available every April, July, October and January.

Monthly Reports:

The "Patent Law Firm Leader Board" Report looks at patent attorneys and patent law firms, nationally and regionally, and ranks them based on not just patent award counts, but average days from application to award and claim counts.

On-Demand:

A "Forward and Backward Citation Chaining" Analysis is available for any patent issued after 2010. This report is an in-depth analysis, primarily of forward chained patent citations, the inventors and assignees of those patents. It also includes a backward chained "freedom to operate" review that looks at the landscape of invention (back to 2005) related to the requested patent subject matter.
